Customer Reviews: Caine Pieffer (Wednesday, 04 March 2009) Rating: For a long while traditionalist Catholics have not had a nice hard bound Sunday Missal and for most of us who are unable to attend daily Mass this Layman's Missal is "just the ticket". It is attractive and the binding appears durable. In addition to the regular Sunday Masses, the Missal contains the daily Mass for Lent and the feasts of Saints which may replace certain Sunday Masses or have the collects, etc. added to the Sunday ones. It also contains a lengthy section covering the Sacraments and Divine Office prayers and a treasury of private devotions. While the Knox version of scripture will take some getting used to for those familiar with the Douay or Confraternity versions I think it provides a nice fresh perspective for those of us not from the UK. Explanatory sections and dictionaries complete a great book. I think the Layman's Missal will be a welcome friend to any traditional Catholic. A fine book indeed.
